BEAUTY HACKS FOR CLEAR SKIN

4 Beauty Hacks to Clear Skin

Here are my top 4 beauty hacks for clearer, brighter skin.

Exfoliate

I am such a fan of exfoliating. It is so vital to include regular gentle exfoliation to ensure you maintain a bright and youthful complexion. Exfoliation helps to remove dry, dead skin cells that can clog pores and make your skin appear dull or lifeless. Clogged pores can lead to mild blemishes or break-outs and are often the cause of blackheads or acne, by removing oil congestion and excess deal cells your skin will glow with a fresh and healthy appearance. Our Chamomile & Walnut Scrub is based on powdered walnut shells and chamomile, it encourages the absorption of creams and is perfect for preparing the face and neck when moisturising.

Dry Body Brush before showering

Dry body brushing helps to improve circulation, remove dead skin cells, and creates smooth feeling skin. Some people claim it helps decrease cellulite. I try to dry-brush before every shower, even if it’s only for a minute or so. You can find out how to dry body brush here.

Change you Pillowcase

Have you ever thought about all the dirt and oil that build up on your pillowcase each night? Yuck! Change your pillowcase every 5-6 nights (especially if you have oily skin) because the oil and dirt on your pillow case may be clogging pores or causing blemishes.

Hydrate

I keep banging on about drinking more water for healthy skin for good reason as I have here. One of the physical signs of dehydration is dry skin. Ideally, your body needs at least 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. While soft drinks and sweetened juices are considered liquids, their sugar content can rob you off much needed water as these act as diuretics. The same is true for coffee, tea and alcohol. Increase your water intake while cutting down on alcohol, caffeinated and sweetened drinks.
